Brooklyn welcomed my family during the early 60’s when my mother and grandmother migrated from Trinidad. I grew up in Ebbets Field (Brooklyn Dodgers baby!!), but Canarsie and East New York served as my stomping grounds with my cousins. Fashion and music are ingrained in the Brooklyn culture. Growing up in the 90’s Michael Jordan was my hero and as a Lo-Life, his kicks complemented my outfits. The lyrical story telling from Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G and M.O.P., brought the borough to life while simultaneously serving as the soundtrack to mine.

While I no longer rest my head in Brooklyn, I wanted to create something that represented the borough that made me. Something that I could carry all over the world and share with others. Spreading love, the Brooklyn way.
